Alan started out writing short stories as a teenager, got dazzled by the visual arts and ended up spending nearly three decades making effects de là visuels on Oscar-winning movies like Titanic, Lord of The Rings and Alice in Wonderland.
Occasionally he moonlights as some sort of writer-director hyphenate, shooting short films and indie features – as evidenced by all the shiny awards on display in his home office, next to the LEGO Millennium Falcon and Eagle Transporter model. He is currently on the run from the visual effects industry, claiming refugee status in game cinematics work at Blizzard Entertainment.
In his grand tradition of trying everything at least once, Alan’s debut science fiction novel Abundance is now available on Amazon and other reputable book traders. He enjoys the act of stepping into other people’s heads and is planning to follow up with at least a couple hundred thousand more words.
